My Place Walks

We succesful launched of the first of these walks on Thursday 20th July repeated on Saturday 22nd, with walk leader: Peter Firth. Further walks have been announced for August (see fron page).

Write Out Loud

Write out Loud returned to Bolton Socialist Club, 16 Wood Street, Bolton on Sunday 2 July. Doors at 7.30pm for 8.00pm start. There were 14 open mic slots. Entry £2. July's special guest was Jack Horner aka Leon the Pig Farmer, fitting us in between any number of festivals. A great performer used to big events, he performed 'unplugged', in the intimate surroundings of the Socialist Club


Standtogether June23

Around 40 people attended this event at Bolton's Museum. Host for the evening was Dave Morgan, with special guests: Martin Thomasson and Oliver James Lomax.Selections from the anthology were selected and read by: Louise Wilson, Stella Blackburn and Kevin Bates.
